At Asahi Kasei, we have achieved precision and durability in wooden mold vacuum forming through years of research. By using artificial wood (MDF) and applying our unique processing techniques, we have significantly improved durability. It is possible to produce units in the range of one million with a single mold creation. Along with durability, precision has also improved, and the mold excavation program uses a CAD/CAM system, just like metal molds. Through excavation with an NC router machine, we have achieved product precision comparable to that of metal molds. The mold tolerance is only 0.05mm.
